The HELPING HANDS Milk Bank Story

Our mission is the unique integration of two very compelling goals: to collect excess breastmilk from qualified donors for premature infants, and simultaneously give back to the community in a significant and meaningful way by financially supporting a selected charity based on the amount of donated milk received.

In the absence of human milk donors, there would not be a way to provide human milk–based nutritional products that critically ill and premature babies need. We appreciate your breastmilk donation and want to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Your generous donation is valued highly by the medical community as well as the families with preterm and sick babies.

Along with your valuable breastmilk donation, Prolacta will donate $1.20 for every ounce of qualified breastmilk to NICU Parent Network. This important cause was chosen as recipient of the contribution because NICU Parent Network is a nonprofit organization of NICU parent leaders who advocate for the specific needs and best interests of NICU families. This donation will support the NPN in granting scholarships to NICU parent leaders to continue their education so they can do even more to support the NICU community and broaden their expertise, a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. After all, these tiny warriors deserve big warriors to walk alongside them in their fight.
